Jennifer S. Tier, Partner

Jennifer is a highly skilled litigator and negotiator who has always had a passion for Family Law. She was drawn to this area because she prefers to help clients on a personal level and guide them through this difficult time. Jennifer’s clients especially appreciate her calm professionalism. Family Law is always evolving. Jennifer enjoys the analysis and complexity of the interface between the legal and emotional issues. Jennifer also has a strong affinity for financial and tax matters which relate to divorce. Her peers and clients know she will be diligent and detail-oriented.

Jennifer’s practice involves all stages of divorce and parentage disputes. She enjoys the challenges presented when negotiating or litigating any matter, including pre and post-marital agreements; allocation of parental decision-making and parenting time; the financial analysis of dividing assets; business valuations; spousal and child support matters.

Jennifer and her husband, who is also an attorney, live on Chicago’s North Shore with their two “high energy” boys. When not practicing law, they enjoy cooking, entertaining family and friends, lively debates, and showing their boys the wonders Chicago has to offer.
