Janet E. Boyle, Partner

Janet Boyle has been a trailblazer in the field of family law for more than 30 years. As a young, aggressive attorney, she began her career in 1978 as a Cook County Public Defender. She soon realized her passion was to represent clients who were contemplating one of their most serious, and life-changing decisions an individual can make; to get divorced. Since 1984, she has been practicing exclusively in the field of family law in private practice.

Janet possesses a superior expertise relating to the financial implications of divorce; she holds a Masters in Taxation and is highly adept at sorting through complex financial matters that arise during the separation of assets. She is a skillfully trained arbitrator and mediator, though when resolution is not possible, Janet’s extensive trial skills enable her to fiercely advocate on behalf of her clients to achieve the best possible outcomes in their cases.

The divorces of high-net-worth individuals can become extremely complicated, and require the years, and level of professional expertise that Janet possesses. She strongly believes in partnering with her clients, through keeping lines of communication open and walking them through each of the challenging steps of divorce. Unlike the vast majority of her peers, Janet is personally involved with each client and with significant events in their cases.

Janet is active in a number of professional organizations, serving on a variety of committees and speaking at bar associations, law schools, and continuing legal education programs. She is heavily involved in community organizations, including serving as Chair of the Northwest Community Hospital Foundation Board in Arlington Heights for the past three years.

Janet was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. She and her husband Chuck live in the northwest suburbs. Janet enjoys golfing, traveling and spending time with her large, extended family.
